Each style has key characteristics, from garden to pave, corporate and modern to minimalist, or classic to monochromatic. GARDEN

Garden style is designed to look effortless and as though the flowers were just grabbed from a field and tossed in a vase. No particular color scheme is associated with this style, but it is more common to use bright blooms with a cohesive palette. PAVE

Pave style describes a tighter, more even style with very little space between the flowers. Limited greenery allows for each flower head to be seen and highlighted. These arrangements make for a very classy look and complement bedside tables, event centerpieces, and reception desks.

MONOCHROME

The monochromatic color scheme creates an ease throughout the arrangement. To the eye, it is appealing and can feel calming, even if there are many elements at play. The monochromatic look is achieved by using the same color in flowers, even when incorporating many different kinds of flowers such as tulips, roses, carnations, lilies, daisies, and more. This design style is perfect for any occasion because it is highly adaptable to any shape or size, and can even be combined with another style on this list!

ASYMMETRICAL

Designers often use asymmetry in their work because it gives a twisted yet balanced look that doesn’t have to be perfectly aligned on both sides. Often using taller blooms like stock, snapdragons, bells, or greenery to achieve the taller look on one side, the design will also feature swooping blooms like tulips, cala lilies, or greens to create the complementary dip on the other side. While it is asymmetric in design, there needs to be a line of continuity appealing to the eye.

CLASSIC

The classic style leans on a more traditional way of arranging flowers. This can mean roses that sit high above greenery or a circular vase with low, close blooms. This design suits a variety of spaces such as weddings, restaurant spaces, and homes.

MINIMALIST

Minimalistic designs do not have to be boring or basic. This design style primarily highlights one or two types of flowers and allows them the freedom to shine. If these arrangements shown below had roses, carnations, lilies, and cramones, they would still be beautiful, but you wouldn’t notice the tulips as much as you can when they’re alone. These arrangements lend themselves to any number of events because they are so classic and timeless.

LINEAR

What stands out in the linear style of design is how structured it can be. Often, the entire arrangement will be framed in such a way to highlight the stems of the flowers or branches, such as in an ikebana. The lines give interest to the arrangement, as well as height. This is an excellent choice for a tablescape, restaurant grand opening, the reception table of a museum, or any event that is more modern in styling. 

RUSTIC

The rustic style typically includes a rich color scheme of darker hues and plenty of greenery. Sometimes showcased in a basket, this style focuses on a more laid-back and loose structure. For any country family gathering or outdoor wedding in a barn, this style is a must!

CORPORATE

Corporate arrangements are more pulled to the center, circular, and don’t have a lot of things poking out from all directions. It is designed to be admired on a conference table or a countertop. Usually sticking to a color scheme of white, yellow, orange, green, or blue, the corporate style of arranging is an excellent choice for any office space.

MODERN

The modern style of arranging focuses on what hasn’t been done in ways of flower placement, color scheme, and flower containers. Incorporating many colors or sticking to a more neutral look, this style is all about creating something that stands out. This design style is perfect for large centerpieces, eclectic weddings, events, and grand openings.
