Flower Shop Network Plant Expert Reply: That is a Clematis bloom. Clematis is a perennial vine. Some bloom once a year and some have multiple blooming cycles. It is hard to tell from the picture but it looks like you have a Bees Jubilee variety. which blooms May, June and September.

What you have is a clematis.  I’m not sure which variety it is.  Go to Donahue’s Clematis, they have great pictures of several clematis varieties and more information on how to take care of them.

I have a clematis that is 2 or 3 years old, it bloomed beautifully this past month. Now that it is done, do I cut off the spent bloom and will it re-bloom again?
