Send Luck!

This Sunday don’t forget to send luck with St. Patrick’s Day flowers. This holiday is a great opportunity to encourage loved ones that need some extra support. If you know someone that’s changing jobs, moving, or just going through a hard time, receiving a lucky green floral arrangement is sure to lift their spirits.

Choose your favorite green flowers to send or pick out a pretty green vase. Green plants are also always a great gift for that leprechaun on your list. Ask your florist if they can add some decorations like four-leaf clovers or a pot of gold to really get into the holiday spirit.

Remember you’re not just sending luck, you’re also showing how much you care.

Your Christmas Guide To Evergreens

The holidays are coming up fast and it’s time to put up your last-minute decorations! We put together a quick guide on how you can incorporate these three evergreens into your holiday decor.

If you are looking for the smells and textures of Christmas, then look no further than the three popular holiday greens: Fir, Pine, and Cedar.

Fir

Firs are very fragrant and shiny evergreens with dark green needles. Two popular firs are the Douglas Fir, which has beautiful soft needles, and the Pacific Silver Fir, which have a silvery-white color under its needles.

Pine

Pines are known for their bright green color and long needles. The Princess Pine is popular due to its soft texture. The shore pine has long needles and small pine cones that add to the overall rustic look.

Cedar

The Port Orford Cedar is the most popular of cedars and it is recognized by its long stems and lacy tips. It is also one of the most long-lasting greens. It maintains its vitality and color for many weeks.

Nowadays, instead of delivering a handwritten letter, we send people text messages and emails. Let’s go back in time and do things the old fashioned way! 2. Poinsettia Day – December 12th

This day is in commemoration of an American botanist called Joel Roberts Poinsett. He was the one to discover the Poinsettia flower in Southern Mexico. This day commemorates his death, but it is also an opportunity to celebrate the flower most commonly associated with Christmas.

3. Look on the Bright Side Day – December 21st

There are times in which something unexpected happens in our lives and it is important to look at the bright side during times like these.
