Celebrate Administrative Professionals Day

Secretaries, assistants, receptionists, and other administrative positions serve as the backbone of companies and businesses around the world. Don’t forget to recognize these outstanding employees next week for Administrative Professionals Day.

Over time this holiday has become one of the largest workplace celebrations. This year the holiday falls on Wednesday, April 27. Have some fun in the office celebrating with these creative ideas!

  • Office party
Everyone loves to take a break from their normal routine for a casual office party. Have lunch catered in from your staff’s favorite restaurant and spend time bonding with your co-workers. You could even plan team bonding games like truth and a lie, use what you have, or watch where you step. Playing games is a great way to liven up the party and get people involved.
  • Compliment board
Before your administrative staff arrives to work, tape a poster board on the wall next to their desk. At the top of the poster board write, “We Appreciate You.” Throughout the day your employees can stop by and list the reasons they appreciate your administrative professionals hard work. This is a great way to keep your staff smiling and happy the entire day!
  • Flowers, of course!
Flowers are the most common gift for Administrative Professionals Day. They make the perfect present because they can be displayed and admired for several days. Choose the recipients favorite flowers and colors and make sure to have them delivered early.
