Favorite Flower Arrangement For January

Can you believe it’s 2012 already? Ring in the new year with Silver Bells — our featured arrangement for January! This beautiful arrangement features flowers in winter colors, accented with unique silver leaves and ornaments.

Everyone’s favorite Gerbera daisies are front and center, reminding us spring is on it’s way! Blue delphiniums really shine when paired with white and silver. Blue flowers are a rare treat, and delphiniums are one of the few naturally blue flowers. Another rare treat featured in this January arrangement, are the uncommon star of Bethlehem flowers. Altogether, Silver Bells shares winter bliss with everyone!

This December, our favorite flower arrangement is Winter Wishes. A non-traditional design is perfect for those wanting a little fun in their holiday decor. It features everyone’s favorite flowers, red Gerbera daisies, along with shimmery silver ornaments that ring in the Christmas Spirit! With it’s bright red carnations and playful white snapdragons, this flower arrangement is perfect for all ages. Move over poinsettia, this fun holiday design is coming through!

10 Easy Christmas Tree Decorating Tips

Christmas seems to come earlier and earlier ever year. If you haven’t already got your tree up, here are a few easy tips to make your Christmas tree look extraordinary.

10 – ‘Fluff’ all of the limbs on your tree. If your tree is fake, take the time to ungroup all of the branches on every limb, try to fill in every hole. Yes it takes time, but it will make your fake tree look fuller, and more real-to-life.
9 – Extra ‘fluff’ the bottom limbs. Don’t let your tree just cut off at the bottom, pull branches down with limbs pointing slightly upward to make it look rounded and natural.
8 – Inside out. Add shiny, ‘filler’ ornaments to the inside first to make it look more full.

Mumkin Pumpkin – Fall Decor!

While pumpkins are typically used for Halloween, they are also great for fall and Thanksgiving decor! (Just without the faces.) We spotted this adorable pumpkin decor idea and had to share: Mumkins! You know we love it because it mixes chrysanthemums with this iconic Halloween/Fall/Thanksgiving symbol.

There are so many great holidays this month, and the season is one of our favorites! This newsletter focuses on everything that’s happening in October!

Favorite Flower Arrangement For October

This month’s favorite flower arrangement is all about fall and harvest time. As we mentioned in the recent article, Feeling Fall-ish, this season was once mainly referred to as harvest. In this design, Harvest Moon, you see lots of great elements that remind us of harvest time: hypericum berries, mini cattails, fall leaves and lotus pods. The beautiful range of deep colors are also perfect for the season. You can’t go wrong with this beautiful autumn flower arrangement adorning your October decor!

Think Pink This October!

In 2010, there were more than 2.5 million breast cancer survivors in the United States alone. This is a fact we should all be excited about. Cancer is an intimidating subject and hearing stories of survival are always encouraging! The battle with breast cancer is a fight we CAN and WILL win! With early detection, there is a 95% survival rate!All it takes is reminders, awareness and a little PINK!

If you know someone who has championed their fight with breast cancer, send them pink flowers this month to let them know how happy you are to have them in your life.

Unique Diamond-White Flower Guide

April’s favorite flower color is diamond-white. This year, we are spotlighting unique flower colors for you to use in custom flower arrangements, wedding bouquets, centerpieces, and anywhere else you might need great-looking flowers. To make choosing the colors a little more interesting, we are starting with birthstone colors. Last month’s was aquamarine, and this month it’s diamond, or whiteish-silver.

Since ‘diamond’ is not really a color, we are associating it with lighter shades of gray. There are many, stunning flowers that come in light-gray colors, as well as shimming-silver and pale-blue. When creating a color scheme using these light-grays, you can either stick with a monochrome palette, or add a punchy, accent color to really bring out the dynamics! Imagine bright red mixed with silvery-white colors, or how about a vivid-blue paired with diamond flowers and silver accent.
