Diana,
I assume your question refers to lucky bamboo stalks. Yellowing stalks on lucky bamboo are usually a result of over fertilization. Change the water (use distilled water) and check the roots for root rot. You may need to cut the stalk above the yellow and start over.
My Lucky hear-shaped bamboo is about 3 ft tall and has been pretty until recently. The leaves are yello and part of stem is yellowing. I moved my plant to a larger container as it seemed to be outgrowing the existing one. The plant had roots, orange-like color, about as large as a grapefruit or more so. This was a gift and I love my plant. Also, when I repotted, I did add a little miracle grow water which I probably should not have done. Any advice please, much appreciated…..
Irene,
DId the yellowing occur before or after the miracle grow? If it was after the plant may have gotten too much fertilizer. Send me a pitcure so I can see how much yellowing and then maybe I can give you a plan to keep the plant healthy. jadams@flowershopnetwork.com
