Although it is January, we need to prepare ourselves the busy month of February. After all, February is the month of Valentine’s Day and several flower and garden shows. In fact in Edison New Jersey, flowers and Valentine’s Day are taken to a whole new level with the New Jersey Flower and Garden Show. The Show begins on February 14th and ends on February 17th. Which gives me a great idea for a Valentine’s Day gift idea – tickets to the show tucked in a bouquet of roses; a unique gift and a day of fun to boot. Anyone visiting Edison or living in New Jersey is welcome to use my Valentine’s Day gift idea.
The New Jersey Flower & Garden show celebrates outdoor entertaining with its 2008 “The Entertaining Garden-Party Among the Petals” theme. Visitors can enjoy the display gardens designed to enhance the entertaining qualities of the outdoors. The six display gardens names are as intriguing as the designs and components used for each garden.
The “Backyard Bliss” garden includes an in-ground pool and an outdoor kitchen. What an interesting way to incorporate the beauty of flowers with every day life. As you journey through the “Art of Outdoor Living” Garden, exotic plants, fountains and an outdoor kitchen surround you. The “Backyard Hot Spot! Cool Place!” garden with its lush plantings, water garden and pavers is a garden retreat perfect for flower lovers who yearn for reflection and relaxation. The other three gardens (You’re Invited to a Martini Party, Entertaining in a Jersey Fresh Garden and Games People Play – RU Game) are inviting and captivating as well.
The gardens are just a tip of the excitement at the New Jersey Flower and Garden show. With over a 100 vendors, the marketplace at the show offers a variety of garden ornaments, garden tools, flower arrangements, jewelry, orchids, art and others items for sale. You’ll also find the New Jersey Flower And Garden show has a extensive hands-on demonstration and how-to series with areas of interest including container gardening, creative floral arranging and gardening design. Children will love the “growing up green” garden with its interactive elements.
Put an extra mark on Valentine’s Day and celebrate the love of flowers at the New Jersey Flower and Garden Show in Edison. Once again living vicariously through others will have to satisfy my desire to attend the show. I would appreciate picture and comments about the New Jersey Flower and Garden Show from anyone who attends it.
