You’ll Be Amazed By The Red Roses Design of Lori at Flowers Insolita

Lori, lead designer at Flowers Insolita of Huntington New York, recently walked away with high marks and awards in a contest organized by an online community of floral professionals. “Flower Chat” asked the participants to create a non-traditional arrangement of a dozen roses just to see a few creative ways to forego the spring vase and baby’s breath this year. After seeing Lori’s arrangement, I’m not at all surprised that her dozen roses design received the praise that it did.

Lori’s dozen roses arrangement mesmerized audiences with an incredible display of balance, beautiful color, tranquil and inspiring appeal, and clever use of materials. This truly stunning arrangement inspires anything but the traditional idea of a dozen roses arrangement in a way that is so awe-inspiring that you may want to schedule your lunch break around looking at and discussing this design. Yes–it’s that good.

Lori’s design does not limit the roses to a single vase but instead spreads their beauty across zen-inspiring materials that instantly take the viewer on a trip through his or her mind’s eye to a meditation room in the middle of a tropical garden during the early morning. The gorgeous way that these roses are designed is so clever and interesting that any woman would be lucky to receive something so unique from her sweetheart. Every other woman receive roses this year? It’s ok. The lucky woman to receive something so spectacular would still feel incredibly special and as unique as the design.

Way to go, Lori! Way…to…go.

Alamo Florist Dedicated To Community Involvement

Unless you are a hermit living deep within a forest you are a part of a community. It may be a small community or it may be a large community. It might be a flower loving community or a dog loving community. You might be the center of the community or you might be on the fringe of the community. But you are a part of a community. Many of us take our community for granted and don’t think about or make an effort to contribute to our community; not with our time, money or heart. So when I found out what Connie at The Alamo Flower Co was doing, it put a smile on my face and a little guilt in my heart. Sometimes I am stingy with my time, money and my heart.

The Alamo Flower Co. is located in a California city called Alamo just northeast of San Francisco. The town has a strong sense of community and one of the big community events is the Tree Lighting Ceremony that occurs every year in Andrew H. Young Park and adjoining Oak Tree Plaza. This year the festivities will take place on Dec 7th. So what does this have to do with Connie and Alamo Florist? Well every community event takes money and effort. Instead of being on the fringe of her community Connie and her flower shop have jumped in with both feet. Giving her time, money and most definitely her heart. During The Alamo Flower Co’s Holiday Open House, Connie will donate 10% of the proceeds from her pre-holiday orders to the Tree Lighting Fund. What a wonderful way to be involved with her community.

It is amazing what an Alamo florist like Connie and The Alamo Flower Shop can do with the gift of flowers. When the switch is flipped and the lights begin to glow more that just a holiday light display will radiate. The beauty of Connie’s flower gift and the commitment that The Alamo Flower Co. promotes will sparkle through out the town.

The Friendly Florist That Will Just Make Your Day!

One of the joys of my job is that my faith in people and their good nature is daily validated by Flower Shop Network’s network coordinators. I recently learned of Fuqua and Sheffield Florist, a full service florist delivering flowers in Richmond, Virginia. The positive influence of these great people is so contagious that I couldn’t help but pass it along to you.

Lyle and his team light up the room even over the phone. Every employee seems delighted with life and genuinely excited about the work that is being done. Sending flowers from Fuqua and Sheffield Florist is a refreshing drift back to a time when working in a flower shop was invigorating and exciting because every new customer was a chance to let out the artistry and creativity of the designer. Each new face was a new opportunity for something bigger, better, and a brighter smile. This kind of enthusiasm is electric with the employees here and no doubt a direct reflection of the bubbly and pleasant rapport between Lyle and his customers. It is nearly impossible to keep from smiling after speaking with any of the wonderful people at Fuqua and Sheffield Florist.

There is a saying that it takes a dozen positive encounters to counteract the effects of one negative encounter. Lyle and his team are setting out to reverse that belief by delivering one intensely fun-filled experience after another. Passionate and driven, it’s instantly a treat to work with the team on creating romantic wedding flowers, beautiful birthday arrangements, sincere sympathy arrangements and any other floral dream in the imagination. How fun! After just one conversation, you know that Fuqua and Sheffield Florist will deliver the flowers that draw emotion from anyone—and be passionate about it!

There remains to be seen an occasion where Lyle and his team created an arrangement without vigor, drive, and contagious energy. Passion about flowers goes a long way, but when a whole team of people absolutely radiates happiness and enthusiasm—that’s impossible to keep to myself.
