My husband and I bought a house and this tree was already there. We are not gardeners to begin with so we had little luck identifying this tree! I hope you can help us!

From the photo I believe you have some kind of willow (Salix), probably something similar to the cultivar Hakuro Nishki (Salix integra). This particular cultivar is considered a large shrub or small tree.
