Vase Arrangements - Flower Pictures
The popular trend in flower arranging for the past decade or so has been to present the flowers in glass vases, just like the beautiful flower pictures below. In a glass vase or even a crystal vase, the flowers appear fresh and uncontrived, with their natural stems allowed to show. Of course, flowers can look great in a decorative ceramic vase, too; just so long as any pattern or decor on the vase doesn't clash or compete with the flowers for attention.

The right glass makes a picture perfect container for flowers. Most of the glass vases used by florists are machine molded. There is better uniformity and far less expense in vases made that way rather than in blown glass vases. Still, not all machine made vases are created equal. The best ones have the clarity of a crystal vase, without an apparent seam or mold mark. Many flower shops, however, do carry a selection of lovely and decorative blown glass vases and crystal vases, which may be attractive with or without flowers in them.

When it comes to flower vases, it's easiest to use a vase that have a fairly narrow choke - the place near the top where the vase narrows before flaring outward again. A vase like this affords the easiest way to hold the flowers in position in addition to having a pleasingly graceful shape. The glass vases shown above, or vases very much like them, are readily available in flower shops across the country.
