Mother's Day week is the busiest week of the year in every flower shop and that same week we got that incredible heat wave that can so adversely affect perishable flowers. It was nerve wracking but made it through relatively unscathed! Our delivery people were terrific and did dozens of "short runs". Inefficient time and gas wise but meant shorter time from the cooler to your door!

    Not impressed that the delivery was just left at the door when we weren't home, without even a phone call. The flowers in the arrangement are lovely, however the filler greenery looked very old and withered.

    Hello Marilynne, I'm sorry we disappointed. This order was ordered as a Non-Contact Delivery, thus we followed the non -contact delivery policy/procedure of setting the arrangement in a protected spot at the door, ringing the doorbell (or knocking loudly if no doorbell) and walking away. The fresh greenery used in your arrangement is sarcococca. We use it for it's interesting leaf shape and the way the leaves curl and twist on the slightly draping stems.

    a suggestion do not use clear glass vases as all I see is murky water and decaying stems and I do take care of the arrangement lovely flowers

    Do change the water in your vase every 2-3 days as per the care instructions sent . Grasp the stems and lift the flowers with one hand. With the other, empty the vase and rinse thoroughly with hot water. Refill the vase 3/4 to the top with WARM water. Cut an eighth to a quarter inch off the bottoms of the stems of the flowers with sharp clippers and set back in vase. Check all stems are into the water. Top up with warm water if need be. If you have flower food,follow the directions on the package and use that to refill vase. But the key is fresh, warm water and stems clipped.

    Ordering online has risks and ultimately you never know what your recipient will actually get. I ordered for Mother's Day (late as usual) and although was surprised by the low price of the product (hanging basket) I wasn't thrilled with thebdelivery cost. HOWEVER, when my mom received the basket it literally brought her to tears. The basket was more than I could have expected and amazingly beautiful. Goes to show that local is better. I'm impressed and the large deleivery cost became well worth the price. 10/10 forsure

    I apologize that care instructions & flower food packet were not included with your arrangement as it is shop policy that they be included with each order in the envelope with your enclosure card. Display your flowers in a cool area, away from any direct sun or heat sources. Add tepid water daily to keep vase full. Every few days, re-cut the stems and do a complete water/solution change. Use warm water as cold water shuts the stem cells down & won't allow them to draw up the water. The key is to keep clean water in the vase as bacteria growth is the demise of flowers.

    On July 5th we were married in Parksville, British Columbia. We do not live in Parksville however went to Blossoms n such to see what they could do for us. As we were in the area we just popped in. We did not have an appointment, however the service we received you would have definitely thought we had. Heather was fantastic. Her recommendations and final products were exactly what we were looking for. Everything was absolutely beautiful!!! Heather was honest in telling us what would and wouldn't look good. She is extremely talented and a real pleasure to work with. As we were not from Parksville she could not have made working with them more simplier. I would recommend this flower shop for all your needs as I know you won't be disappointed.
